Folly

Stills from my latest film, in progress - Folly.

Biocity

Workshop with Steve Fossey. Produced, in two days… Biocity. Inspired by the odd company on the edge of town by the wasteland here in Nottingham.

Young Creatives Awards 2013

Had a lovely evening at the Young Creatives Awards last night here in Nottingham. I won the 'Highly Commended' award for Vulpes Sapiens! Very happy, and congratulations to Ashley Harvey, who won 'best film'. He also won 'Young Creative of the Year 2013' -  what a fantastic night for film and moving image.

We have our first show online HERE! Unfortunately it isn't chronologically the first, so we'll be sorting all that out very soon... but take a listen!

St Leo's - project complete!

I've finally finished the watercolours for St Leodegarius's Church in Basford.

It was very enjoyable, spending hours on end listening to Radio 6 music, and accidentally nudging my watercolours off the table with my elbow, into the bin below. This happened around 6 times in all. La di dah!

'Troll'

My lovely collaborator and dear friend Arielle Findon tried to dye her hair candyfloss pink. It decided to go cerise instead. She resembled a Troll Doll. The situation called for a spontaneous, one-day film; so, we rented a Canon 7D and recorded a day in the life of a troll working in Bonington, here at Nottingham Trent.

Future Artists - painting

The third workshop with Future Artists at Nottingham Girls Academy was on the subject of painting. We had Ellis Sharpe in, who paints 7 ft boards in an impasto style with just about every colour available. It was probably the best so far, the girls were hard pushed to deny they enjoyed it!

Buckules and Cornballs

My sister made this amazing drawing for my 21st.  It deserves to be seen by Dr Buckles and Captain Corny Corns! (aka Adam and Joe of 6music notoriety). What a perfect summary of their radio dynamic. WHEN will they return? Get back from Hollywood Joe!
