The Classroom Gallery

I am really excited to be taking part in my first exhibition outside of university - The Classroom Gallery at Hopkinson's Cafe, near Nottingham train station! I have made a series of eleven works inspired by Peter Callesen, all made while listening to songs from my childhood.
These include Natalie Imbruglia, Simply Red, The Eagles and the Lightning Seeds. It was an enjoyable evening to be nostalgic - i'd adise everyone revisit their past through music now and then!

The exhibition runs until February 5th 2013 - if you're in Nottingham, take a look! It includes work by other artists and students from city.

Painting the Australian Open

It was sunny, the perfect afternoon to listen to Paul Weller's Wild Wood and paint. So in all the whirlwind of blue plastic courts, squeakiness and waking up at 6am, I've made a little booklet of my view of the Oz open.

It's the first chapter of Windy City that has taken physical form as a volume! I'm going to scan it in and print copies out to spread around town.

The View from the Windy City - volumes

I've decided to turn my book, The View from the Windy City, into volumes - inspired by Dickens, yes thank you very much sir - because otherwise it'll never go to print! They will be zine-like, and probably end up featuring much less writing than anticipated. Ah well - here's a working draft for one of the volumes. Inevitably, I won't plan the order properly, so there will be minus volumes as well. So, here is potential VOLUME -2.

Inspired by something on StumbleUpon, with a few tweaks. Everyone in the world should get started completing this list!

She's a Dragon

An extract from my latest film, She's a Dragon, a personification of my emotions when listening to Fleetwood Mac's Tusk.
